Webster's Site Council (Site Based Shared Decision Making Council) promotes student achievement by seeking ideas for school improvement, helping to solve problems, making budget recommendations, and helping to assess Webster Enrichment Magnet programs among all school community members ... staff, students, parents, and interested citizens.

The council consists of 17 voting members including: the Principal; an AFT (teachers' union) representative; 6 staff members; 1 representative from the Webster PTO, 7 at-large parent representatives, and 1 community member. Members of the entire Webster community are encouraged to attend Site Council meetings that are held monthly, typically the second Tuesday from 5:30-8p.m., but for an updated agenda/meeting schedule, click on the "Current Site Council" link in the green box in the right column or check the school calendar.

What kind of training is available to new Site Council members?
The administration, Site Council chairs and past and present Council members are all available to help you and answer any questions. One training possibility consists of a Site Council Conference offered in early fall. The Site Council can seek additional training from the Office for Leadership Development.
