Webster Learning Center is a school program where students can learn and grow in a safe, caring, highly structured therapeutic and educational environment.

Integrated interventions support students and families by designing situations for success.

Modeling and direct instruction of appropriate behavioral skills, problem solving skills, and academic instruction is done by all staff.

We facilitate the growth of our students. families, and our staff to be healthy and participating members of our community now and in the future.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WEBSTER LEARNING CENTER PROGRAM

This program works with students with challenging emotional and behavior concerns. The students are immersed in small classrooms with trained staff that pro actively and directly teach social and behavioral skills along with an individualized academic curriculum. Social work is available through individual therapy, small group, and classroom groups.

Parents are encouraged to participate and be involved with their child's program. Our staff are trained in intervention techniques and proactive processing of problems and redirection of students. Not only are direct teaching of social skills utilized, but also a chance to practice these skills in a wide range of situations. A wide menu of reward options are available for those students that are successful in this area. It would include enriching field trips, cooking classes, team sports, or individualized rewards. Our program consists of 3 classrooms each with 3 staff in them, a study hall space, an intervention space, and a social work office. Students attend art or music theraphy or gym classes on a rotating basis. The team leader is available to coordinate the program.
