We are readers! During Reader's Workshop we read, read, read! By the
end of kindergarten we will be independent readers. Some of the
concepts we focus on in Reader's Workshop are: directionality of
print, sounding out words, using the pictures to help with
comprehension, connecting the information from the book to information
we already know. We read individually and in guided reading groups
where we read with other students who are at our reading level.
