Reader's Workshop
In Readers workshop we are striving to be better readers by increasing our fluency. We are focusing on comprehention by using; predicting, clarifying, asking questions while we read, and summarizing strategies.

Every Day Math
We have completed units 1-6 in math. Our focus for the next few units will be on constructing open responses to open ended word problems. Each day we are using math strategies to secure students skills in all areas. Students can practice games and flash cards at home. Some games can be found in the back of Student Reference Books that were sent home at the beginning of the year.

Social Studies
For our Social Studies concentration we are paired with another school located in South St. Paul. Our focus is for students to form bonds within a larger community. We are welcoming other cultures into our classroom along with sharing our culture with others.
